As editors, we strive to minimize bias in text. We want to respect our readers and we want our language to be inclusive. That respect and inclusion should also extend to creating content that is accessible to all our readers. This session will talk about:

  • Structuring content for optimal screen reader experience
  • Creating accessible social-media content
  • Working with video captions
  • Writing high-quality alternate text for images
  • Checking and improving readability
  • Establishing an accessibility style guide
